Safety First: Kicking Off 2026 with a Network-Wide Commitment to Excellence

Feb 27, 2026

At Astra Service Partners, we strive to ensure that every team member returns home safety at the end of their workday.

We take this responsibility seriously and have set up a robust safety program to support all of the companies and team members in the Astra Network. The engine of our safety program is our network of local safety leaders across our network of companies.

A group of people stand in a classroom holding certificates, posing for a photo in front of tables with model construction equipment and drinks. We believe in the power of the network to drive a culture of safety leadership. When our safety leaders share what’s working, build relationships with each other, and collaborate on solutions, we can create a network where safety is embedded in the culture, not seen as just compliance. A safety improvement breakthrough at one company can quickly become something that the whole network can benefit from and implement.

Our Safety Steering Committee is made up entirely of Safety Leaders from the network, the people who understand the day-to-day realities of keeping our team members safe. This approach combines the best of local autonomy (where each company can address their specific challenges and regional requirements) with the collective knowledge and experience of our entire network.

Safety Leadership Across the Network

Two men stand indoors; one hands a certificate to the other while shaking hands. Balloons are in the background, with a whiteboard and office furniture visible. We now have over 20 full-time Safety Leaders across more than 30 companies in our safety program. This team brings incredible experience from former police officers, paramedics, military members, a former USA Basketball amateur coach, a two-time instructor of the year, and even a published author. These backgrounds strengthen our safety culture by bringing different perspectives and proven leadership skills.

Where We Are Today

Here’s what we deliver to our network through our safety program:

  • OSHA 10/30 Training is available in-person across the network
  • First Aid/CPR/AED Certification is provided through on-site training
  • Competent Person Training is available multiple times per year for safety leadership development
  • Weekly Toolbox Talks are accessible on our learning management system through the Astra University Safety Academy
  • Electronic Incident Reporting is enabled through our online safety reporting system

What’s Coming in 2026

This year brings new tools and programs to elevate safety across the network:

  • 52-Week Toolbox Talk Curriculum. Every week, our teams get fresh, relevant safety training designed specifically for HVAC, plumbing, and electrical work.
  • Annual Safety Summit. The summit will bring together safety leaders to share what’s working, learn from industry experts, and strengthen our safety culture at both the network and company level
  • Leading and Lagging Incident Review. Our annual review of safety issues from the prior year includes discussion of areas for improvement in the coming year.

Moving Forward

Our safety program keeps evolving because our commitment to our teams never stops. We’re committed to giving them every tool and resource they need to work safely, confidently, and be the best version of themselves.
