What does CI look like at Astra?
In-Person CI Bootcamp Trainings
Twice per year, Astra hosts in-person Continuous Improvement Bootcamp sessions at our headquarters in Boulder.
In support of core value, Coach, our bootcamp sessions are led by Astra’s CEO and Astra’s President, both seasoned CI experts with years of hands-on experience using the A3 problem-solving method. Our training sessions give participants the practical tools, frameworks, and real-world examples to drive change within their organizations.
These interactive trainings, open to participants across our national network, help to flatten the CI learning curve and to build a growing community of leaders committed to operational excellence.
Required Quarterly CI Projects
Every Astra company completes at least one Continuous Improvement Project each quarter. These projects address real challenges within the business — from enhancing customer service to streamlining operational processes — teams collaborating on CI projects have a real stake in the improvement of their business.
Quarterly Presentation Series and Awards
At the end of each quarter, Astra companies present the outcomes of their CI projects during a network-wide showcase. Projects are evaluated for creativity, impact, execution, and adherence to the A3 method. Winning teams are celebrated, recognized, and rewarded across the network for their achievements.

The Cornerstone Community
Astra’s Cornerstone Continuous Improvement Community continues to grow with more resources being added after each CI report-out. This platform houses project archives, best practices, and collaboration forums, ensuring every company has access to tools and peer insights needed for success.
Investing in Better Tools
In response to participant feedback, Astra rolled out an improved A3 template designed for clarity and ease of use. This new tool simplifies project documentation and strengthens how we share and scale improvements across our network. This tool is available to every company so they can modify the template to best fit their CI needs.
